More Liebster Love and a little more about me.

I was spending a dreary day at work, wondering when I would get to travel next and where I would go, when Gmail notification popped up with “The Glass Bangle has commented on ‘Who I am‘”.

I logged on to WordPress and what do you know, I have been nominated for a Liebster Award! Yay me! That’s the second one!

This time’s award is slightly more demanding than last time. I have to answer 10 (fun) questions, pick 10 bloggers with less than 200 followers, whose blogs I like and come up with 10 questions for them too. The first bit is easy-peasy, but the second bit’s going to be tricky because I know of nobody who has fewer than 200 followers – everyone I read is way beyond that number.

So, I’m just going to answer The Glass Bangle’s questions and keep the second half for another time when I have enough bloggers in my list who have 200 or less following them and who totally deserve it. And when I do, I will update it here. Until then, here’s a little bit more about me.

Which is your favourite time of the day ?

Late afternoon, between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. The world is bathed in muted Sun-gold and everything looks magical.

Given a chance to relive one day in your life which day would that be ?

*Hmmmmm…* The day I sat by the Ganges on my holiday to Rishikesh.

Which super power would you like to possess ?

The power to get into the minds of everyone and know what they’re thinking.

Which is your favourite aroma, something which makes you take in huge breaths ?

I have two: the smell of Petrol and rain on parched land.

Write one word which symbolises the person you are.

Have you fallen in love with any object at first sight ?

Yes. Pencils.

If you are given a day free of all responsibilities, a day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do ?

I would drive out of town, lie under the open sky on a floral blanket in a lush green field and read a Neil Gaiman book. Alternatively, I would go to Hard Rock Cafe and spend a day eating their Chicken Haystack Salad, drinking their drinks and reading a book. There’s a telephone exchange building near my home with a really, really tall aerial tower thingie. I might climb that too.

What’s your favourite comfort food?

Dal chaawal.

Which movie character has taken residence in your heart ?

Will Smith’s in The Pursuit of Happyness.

Which is the weirdest combination of food that you’ve had ? :)

Chinese Bhel. I first had it 15 years ago, and I still cannot understand it!

We interrupt this blog to bring you some Liebster Love.

Haathi nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award, an accolade showered by fellow bloggers to show how much they love (reading) you. Thanks muchly Haathi!

And to continue the tradition, i am supposed to shower my blog love on five frequented bloggers.

And the award goes to...

For the Liebster Blog Awards, I pick:

Radioactive Rasam: She curates all things design on her tumblr blog. And i love browsing through it because i find so many fascinating ideas. Read her blog here.

Fourteen Years Later: A friend and her friend met after 14 years and established a connection that flows from poetic words to fabulous photographs. The words never fail to take my breath away. Get smitten here.

What Andy Sees: Andy takes stunning pictures of his everyday life and posts them for the world to ogle at too. See his wonderful lens work here.

Mental Exotica: I see her as a Priestess of Prose. Love what she writes and most of what she thinks. Read her here.

Kinna Reads: All things books and poetry and writing. I get introduced to new books, new authors, new ways of thinking. Quite an eye opener, actually. See what Kinna reads here.

So that’s that. Now that i’ve picked you guys, it’s your turn to pass on the love. Here’s how you go about nominating people:

  1. Thank the one who nominated you by linking back
  2. Nominate five blogs  with 200 or fewer followers
  3. Let your nominees know by leaving a comment on their sites
  4. Copy and paste the award image on your site

Here’s to many more posts and much more love!
